New Years Day 2017 was definitely a long one after getting up at 6.30 am and setting off at about 8 am we were on our way down to Lincolnshire to see our friends and look at Porsche. The car journey was a breeze for us and it definitely did not feel like a long drive, but then again when we get bored we drive up to Scotland and sleep in the car. Arriving at our friends house we were greeted by a little red car that was covered in a lot of dust,

The Bottom 2 pics that display the date are sent by our friend which is why its a different date to when we went down to see her.

After lifting the bonnet up and using a bit of quick-start she started up after 5 years of not moving. The roar of the engine was just amazing to hear as for a little car she certainly has a bark. After just practising getting in and out of her and definitely realising i should not of worn heels. We looked at the few little details that she needed work on just picking out bits and bobs that we could do and the bits we would leave to a professional. About 2 hours later we agreed we would be down on payday with a truck to bring her up on and we set off back up to Yorkshire.

As we were so close to Lincoln we decided to drive down to RAF Coningsby

where my dad was based. This was definitely a bad idea as about a mile and a half later our renault captur started pinging at us with a tyre warning so checking the tyres we found that we had a puncture.

After using the inflatable tyre kit that comes with the car we set off again however it did not work .After about 4 hours of being sat in Lincoln and many phone calls later due to it being a works car and tyre companies not having the right tyre we finally managed to be rescued and we finally set off back to Yorkshire.

It was definitely a fun start to 2017 and a fun start to Project Porsche.
